San Francisco is one of the most romantic and funest places to travel to in the USA. Travel to San Francisco is not difficult, and if you book far in advance you can get good prices. Most of the major hotels near Market Street are really nice. If you stay near Market Street or new Fishermans Warf, the trolly will make it fun and easy to get around.
San Francisco offers some of the finest foods west of the Mississipi. The Broadway plays are also excellent. It does not matter if you plan on site seeing or just having a romantic get away, San Franciso is one of my favorite cities.
No question my favorite thing to do is get on the trolly car and just ride up and down the steep streets. The conductor rings the bell and it is just a little bit of heaven as you you feel the crisp San Franciso air.
The hotels can be really expensive. I reccomend using Hotwire to book a great deal.
When traveling by air into San Francisco, you can fly into San Francisco airpoirt, Oakland, or San Jose. I prefer not to use San Francisco International because it is so busy.
